Libraries on Shonan Campus of Tokai University

I’m going to introduce the libraries of Tokai University. There are 4 libraries: in Building 4 on the 2nd floor is the (central library), Building 11 on the 1st floor, Building 12 on the 2nd floor and Building 13 on the 2nd floor. The collection of books at Tokai University has is totally 1,400,000. Each library opens at 09:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, and they open until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. At each library, there are lockers in which to keep your baggage safe and there are copy machines you can use when you need articles from books. Moreover, you can request the libraries to purchase books, magazines, CDs, DVDs if libraries do not hold what you want.

・Central library. It has 520,000 collections of books, 6,000 kinds of magazine, 9,000 seeing and hearing materials and some old manuscripts and ancient writings.

・Building 11. It has special books of the humanities and social studies and has substantially literature on Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit and Turkish. There are 550,000 collections of books and 6,000 kinds of magazines.

・Building 12. It has special books of science and engineering mainly and has many minutes and documents of report. There are 250,000 collections of books, 4,500 kinds of magazine and 1,100 seeing and hearing materials.

・Building 13. It has books and magazines of social studies, natural science, art and abundant music materials such as classic and jazz records. There are 70,000 collections of books, 900 kinds of magazines and 8,000 seeing and hearing materials.

Why don’t you go to these libraries when you want to concentrate on studying without any noise or when you have interest in something.
